Start up:
Ultra HD comes pre-loaded with Flip Share software. It will install itself when you connect the camera to the computer utilizing USB socket and prevents unnecessary hassle of manual installation of software. Life of the battery:
Flip ultra HD is sold with rechargeable battery that may be recharged by connecting to the pc. The manufacturer says the battery would come up to 120 minutes. But actually it comes around 70 to 80 minutes. However a good thing about this ultra HD is there is an option to use 2 AA batteries in case if the battery charge is very low. This model also includes a choice of auto off which is helpful to save battery. At times when the camera gets warm it will not charge saying it's too hot. You must disconnect it and cool it down then start over. Do not leave it plugged in, because it will never resume charging.
Video quality:
The quality of the video is fantastic. Ultra HD includes that signature Flip quality while using newest in HD technology. You can record up to 120 minutes of HD video on the included 8GB memory. but even in low light, the video still looks excellent in HD. With the included HDMI output makes it simple have fun with your videos on your own HDTV.Using Zoom occasionally affects the caliber of video. Because the ultra HD includes only 2x zoom, it is not ideal for filming live shows but great in catching nearby short lived moments.
Software:
Flip video contains superb software, which is better than any software that ever came with Sony.
